ELLIE & ERIK – 09.05.2020 – Sit Back

Sometimes you meet people and they feel just like family right away. That is exactly how I felt when I met Ellie, Erik, and their families. It helped that I was already good friends with Ellie’s sister in law, Bri, but as I worked closely with Ellie & her mother Cindy to plan her and Erik’s big day, I truly felt like part of the family.

And as we planned their big day, and navigated an ever changing world and various COVID-19 requirements, I not only wanted to make sure Ellie & Erik had the wedding of their dreams, but that their families could sit back, relax and enjoy the big day. Just like I would my own family.

Ellie & Erik were troopers with all the changes that COVID-19 threw their way, but were able to hold true to their vision, a beautiful backyard reception at Ellie’s family home.

As I learned more about Ellie’s charming personality and love of reading, and Erik’s strong fraternal ties and sense of adventure, I knew that no matter how the day went, their wedding would be perfect because at the end of the day they just wanted to get married to one another.

And it was with this goal in mind, that the Universe delivered. We had the most perfect weather in September, a mix of Summer and Fall. No rain, no clouds, not too hot, and not too cold. Everything that day went off without a hitch! And Cindy’s home was the incredible backdrop to this gorgeous wedding. As the rest of the vendor team and I joked, “It was a gorgeous wedding in beautiful, tropical Montgomery, Ohio.”
